Piano & Keyboard Recommendations

Casio CT-S300

This is a great option if you’re worried about pricing. It’s very affordable, and a great price for everything you’re getting. The keys are weight which is the most important thing look for, meaning, it’s touch sensitive. If students press softly, they’ll get a soft sound and vice versa, if they press hard, they’ll get a loud sound.

Casio Privia

If you want something a bit more sturdy and that feels more like a real piano, I would suggest the Casio Privia. So many of my students have had this keyboard, and they kept it for years before upgrading to an acoustic piano. It’s a great price for everything you’re getting as well!

Acoustic Pianos

And then of course, if budget allows, I would go with an acoustic piano, either upright or a grand piano. You can find them at a piano store, or look online (Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and Nextdoor) because there are always people selling pianos.
