PIANO CLUBS!
Exciting In-Person Group Piano Lessons!
Wondering What Piano Clubs are!?
If your child showing interest in piano and you're looking for a fun and exciting option for learning, Piano Club is a great place to start!
Piano Clubs are small, in-person group piano lessons (up to 4 students) held in my home studio in San Anselmo, California.
Using my own teaching approach, Cascade Method, I help children fall in love with learning piano through games, creativity, and music from their very first lesson. My goal is simple: to make learning piano fun while giving students a strong musical foundation and helping them feel successful right away.
Piano Clubs are perfect for beginners with little or no previous experience. Students learn everything they need to become confident musicians—from finding the right keys on the piano and reading rhythms to developing proper technique and playing real songs.
Every lesson is highly interactive and game-based. Students learn using the books, games, and activities I’ve created over the past 25 years of teaching, and they continue the fun at home with both printable and digital games that reinforce what they’ve learned in class.
With only four students per club, every child receives plenty of individual attention while also enjoying the encouragement, friendships, and motivation that come from learning alongside other young musicians.

Learning alongside other children makes piano even more exciting! In Piano Club, students encourage one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and discover that learning music can be a social, confidence-building experience.
With only four students per class, every child receives personalized instruction while also benefiting from the energy and motivation of learning with friends. Through games, partner activities, performances, and collaborative learning, students stay engaged and look forward to coming each week.
Using my own curriculum, books, and educational games developed over 25 years of teaching, I’ve created a program that helps children build strong musical skills while having so much fun they don’t even realize how much they’re learning.
Piano Club is designed to make learning piano joyful, confidence-building, and accessible—helping students develop not only lifelong musical skills, but also a lifelong love of music.
Piano Club Schedule:
Our School Year
Piano Club is designed as a year-long program, giving students the time and consistency they need to build confidence, develop strong musical skills, and truly enjoy the learning process.
Our school year runs from September through May, with students attending one 45-minute lesson each week.
We follow the local school calendar for most holidays and breaks, including an extra one-week break in January.
Rather than enrolling one session at a time, new students join with the expectation of participating for the full school year. This allows friendships to grow, classes to progress together, and students to experience the greatest success as they move through the curriculum.
Whether your child is just beginning or continuing their musical journey, Piano Club provides a supportive, encouraging environment where students can learn, grow, and celebrate their progress all year long.
Which Piano Club Is Right for My Child?
We offer Piano Clubs for a variety of ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to students who have been playing for several years.
Most new students begin in one of our beginner clubs, where they’ll learn everything from finding the piano keys and reading rhythms to playing their very first songs. No previous piano experience is needed!
As students grow, they continue progressing through our curriculum, developing music reading skills, stronger technique, musical expression, and more advanced repertoire. Many of our students have been with us for several years and continue learning together in our continuing clubs.
If your child has previous piano experience, we’d love to help find the best fit. Depending on current openings and your child’s experience, they may be able to join one of our more advanced clubs and seamlessly continue their musical journey.
Not sure which club is right for your child? We’d be happy to help! Just reach out, and we’ll recommend the best placement based on your child’s age and experience.

What Others Have To Say!

Learning Doesn't Stop After The Lesson
One of the things that makes Piano Club unique is that the learning continues long after students leave the studio.
Every week, students receive access to interactive digital games that reinforce exactly what they learned during their lesson. Instead of relying on repetitive worksheets, children practice through engaging activities that make reviewing piano concepts feel like play.
Each student receives their own account with access to hundreds of interactive games I’ve created over the years, allowing them to practice everything from note reading and rhythm to ear training and musical concepts at home. During lessons, we also use a variety of hands-on games and activities to keep students engaged and excited about learning.
These games help students build confidence, strengthen what they’ve learned in class, and make home practice something they actually look forward to.

Meet Your Teacher!
Hiiiiii! I’m Tara! I’m so happy you’re here!
I’ve been teaching piano for over 25 years, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m absolutely passionate about helping kids fall in love with music.
I started playing piano when I was just 4 years old, began teaching at 14, and honestly… I never stopped. Music has been my whole world ever since.
Over the years, I’ve poured my heart into creating a better way to teach piano. I developed my own curriculum, Cascade Method, and have written 15+ piano books, created 300+ educational games, designed teaching tools used by piano teachers around the world, and even had the opportunity to train other piano teachers internationally. I absolutely LOVE creating new ways to make learning piano easier, more exciting, and more successful for students.
I’m also a composer and recording artist! In May 2026, I released my fifth piano album, Bloom—a project that had been over 10 years in the making. Whether I’m writing music, designing games, or teaching lessons, everything I create comes from one simple goal: helping people experience the joy of music.
Outside of the studio, I’m usually spending time with my amazing (newly!) fiancé, Bob , and our three sweet (and very energetic!) boys, Jordan, Evan and Will. I’m also a proud cat mom
, a plant lover
, a coffee enthusiast
, and someone who genuinely believes every child deserves to feel encouraged, capable, and excited to learn.
More than anything, I want every student who walks through my door to feel seen, celebrated, and proud of themselves. Piano isn’t just about learning notes—it’s about building confidence, discovering creativity, learning perseverance, and finding joy in making music.
I can’t wait to meet your family and help your child begin (or continue!) their musical journey.
