Teaching piano is an art. Finding a piano training program that helps you to become a fun piano teacher is key to the success of your teaching career!
What if I told you that you can shift your piano lessons from boring and monotonous to fun and exciting? Can you imagine the amount of growth your business and your students would experience with this shift? The piano is a beautiful instrument and it does require lots of effort and practice, but that doesn’t mean it has to be stiff and ritual!
Why is a Piano Training Program necessary?
My piano teaching career started at a young age. I was 14 going on 30- if you know what I mean. Once I was finished with college, I moved back to my hometown. I was ready to invest all my time into my students, and when I did, my business took off. Within one year, I went from teaching 15 students to 40, all while acquiring a fast-growing waitlist.
My schedule was starting to overwhelm me and I knew it was only a matter of time before I got completely burnt out. I needed to find a solution. I had two voices in my head guiding me in completely different directions.
The business owner in me was saying I can’t keep this work load up. I knew that every family on my waitlist most likely wouldn’t wait around for me before finding another teacher, and it felt like money was disappearing into thin air.
On the other side, the passionate teacher in me was feeling heartbroken for the students that wouldn’t be able to experience my fun piano teaching ways. My biggest fear is that those students on my waitlist would end up with a strict and boring teacher that would leave an everlasting impression that piano sucks.
I’m the type of teacher that is determined to convert every child into a true piano lover. That’s why I built a music school of fun, young-spirited, vibrant piano teachers! The problem is, those teachers were hard to come by, and that’s why a piano training program is necessary.
How I grew my music school: Cascade Melody
For every teacher that I hired, I made it my priority to instill in them the passion and fun ways to teach with my piano theory book, The Cascade Method. I knew I couldn’t teach all these students on my own. It was my promise to share my ways. That’s the only way I was going to maintain my fun, colorful teaching style and reputation. Nine years later, I have 10 teachers working for Cascade Melody. They are using their love for piano as a tactic in each one of their lessons!
Why you need the Cascade Method Piano Training Program
While I love my school to pieces, I wanted to reach teachers worldwide. I knew I needed to create some sort of program. The program needed to explain how to use my piano theory book, along with all my other teaching methods that have gotten me this far. Mind you, I now teach four days a week and make more in less amount of time. It is possible, so I started sharing my tips and tricks with the other passionate piano teachers of the world!
In doing so, the Cascade Method Training Program was born. In 2016, my piano theory book was complete and on Amazon, so I started this program with the intention to convert even more students into piano lovers!
If you’re able to apply a portion of this method, you will see your studio and music school flourish.
